University stress.

Before the 12th of January happens I have got to write a novel, a report, gotta learn the whole specification for two exams and then revise. Plus all of my other magazine work. Too much. I just wanna rock around the Christmas tree.
I am also useless in the way I set an alarm as I wanted to go for a little nap at 9pm, i've just woke up and its 3am.
My stomach is also hurting as I went out last night for a "couple", I am sad to say I have now reached the age of  '2 day hangovers'.
Fitting with the English stereotype of moaning, I would like to state that I had chip shop chips for dinner. A large, with salt and vinegar, with curry sauce and a pukka pie cheese and onion pastie. Well nice. But now my stomach hurts.

I now hate light bulbs.

I woke up after hardly any sleep due to late night conversations after seeing Machine Head, Bring Me The Horizon (unfortunately) and Devildriver.
I think the alarm went off at around 7am, I opened my eyes, and found myself staring at half open blinds. It remained dark outside for a couple of minutes. Slowly embers gloomed through the formerly dark sky. For some reason I felt surprised by the natural light. The way it illuminated the trees' winter skeletons, it was really beautiful.
That morning made me realise how i've found my life in Sheffield to be fuelled by fabricated things, like light bulbs. When I actually attend my 9am lectures, I get woken by a screechy alarm usually after falling asleep at 4am. If I make it out of bed I bash the light switch to just get blinded by awful lighting. I then potter around the fake-lit house, losing my trail of thought as I walk into rooms I did or did npt mean to walk in to. If I have a giant lie and wake up in the dark. THEN I AM POWERED BY LIGHT BULBS. It is really wrong. Not waking up with the sun or going to sleep with the dark must be unhealthy. I think I am going to start waking up just in time to watch sunrise before morning tea.

Bootyfull Bonfire Boorar.

I can't really remember the last time I 'properly' celebrated bonfire night. I must have been around 13 or 14 and instead of spectating the hundreds of pounds worth of fireworks being blown up in the air, we spent most of the evening stealing Becardi Breezers from the free bar at a friend's parents firework party.  We googled firework displays and as expected they were either dead pricey or missions away. We made a flask of tea and headed towards the local park, which is situated on top of one of Sheffield's hills.  We saw lots of firework displays within two hours as we were overlooking the whole of Hillsborough. It was lovely to look at all the explosive colours shooting against the sky, especially when my week had been swept away by a whirlwind of paranoia.
