The Red Hot World Buffet.

We made our way from Sheffield to the Red Hot World Buffet in Manchester to celebrate Paul's 21st. We arrived at the restaurant with high expectations as we were told by many that the food was amazing. After an hour and a half of sitting around a table of 23, I can safely say that I most certainly stuck to my "diet". I raced to finish two enormous plates of food for mains, consisting mainly of Indian and Italian. And oh my god the wedges and creamy cauliflour were so good. I tried wasabi for the first time, which I wish I was warned beforehand of its hotness, as my nose set on fire. I strongly recommend it in small doses as it does tastes amazing - especially with potatoes and sushi, of course.
There was an array of desserts on offer, a couple of years ago I would have been in heaven, however, I think my sweet days are over. I wasted stomach space with two plates of dessert - I should have had more savoury. If you are lucky enough to visit the world buffet, make sure you try the lychee sorbet, so gorgeous and refreshing after a seem-bursting feast. After scoffing myself silly, my stomach felt as hard and looked as large as a beer belly belonging to a middle-aged gentleman - I should have took photos really, would have well suited the pregnancy prank that I will probably pull (again) on April's Fools.
The night was drawn to an end as we had to take the last train back to Sheffield, there was no surprise as I fell asleep as soon as I sat down on it. I hope Paul had an awesome birthday, it was lovely seeing people without excess alcohol consumption, which is something that never seems to happen nowadays.
